RusafahFlaxen liver chestnut Straight Babson Egyptian
ABMHA Multiple Top 10 Breed & halter, AMAHA NSH Sire. Sire of Multi Champion & Supreme TF's Strike A Pose
Sire - Ibn Sabbah Bedu/+ -r {Serabaar x Shar Sabbah}
Dam - Ris Habba* {Faaris -r x Serr Habba -r}
Rusafah is the son of Ibn Sabbah Bedu+/, a bay/black Babson Egyptian stallion who has had a long career in Dressage and Hunter. He has performed at Prix St George level of Dressage and qualified for the 2001 Nationals, where he finished 5th. He acheived consistant ribbons in years of showing at the prestigious Scottsdale All Arabians show, winning many Championships. He has sired Regional Champions. Ibn Sabbah Bedu+/ is the son of Serabaar, who has been listed in 2000 as a Leading Sire of Performance Horses, and holds Championships in Third Level Dressage and Regular Working Hunter, and Reserve Champion in the Stakes Working Hunter Class. Serabaar is by Ibn Fa-Serr, and out of a Fabah (Champion and sire of International Chs)daughter.Ibn Sabbah Bedu+/'s dam is Shar Sabbah,producer of outstanding performance and breeding stock, including Ibn Lothar, Char Mahrsab, Inshalla Imhotep, Sabbahs Marjah, and the up-and-coming sire, Bedu Sabir. She is from the Fadl daughter Gammousa.
Rusafah's dam Ris Habba was purchased by us with one idea in mind - to continue the Faaris blood, and to breed a stud stallion. She is by our favourite babson stallion, Faaris, a son of Maaroufa, and out of the Fa Habba (by Fadl) daughter Serr Habba. Although we have not retained any of her fillies within the stud, beacuse our Babson program is to remain small, she fulfilled our wildest expectations with Rusafah.
Although Rusafah has been shadowed a little by our former head sire, Ibn Faaris, and some of the other stallions we stand at stud, he is beginning to come into his own, and we hope to show him a little more.
Foals by Rusafah out of a Babson mare are eligible for Society Straight Egyptian, Straight Babson Egyptian, Sheykh Obeyd, Asil, Blue List and Al Khamsa listings.
He is a elegant, refined sire that will cross very well over your intensely Nazeer-bred mares, and bring a very close line of Fadl, Ibn Rabdan and Maaroufa to your Babson or Egyptian breeding program through Faaris
Lanata*Bay 100% Egyptian - Non Nazeer, old EAO
IPABRA & ABMHA Top 10 Halter. Dam of Class Winner & Successdul sire of Grand Champions El Hamadi.
Sire - Tuhotmos -r (El Sareei x Moniet El Nefous}
Dam - Bint Iziza* {Fol Yasmeen -r x Iziza -r}
Lanata is by Tuhotmos, who was a very unique individual, being one of only a handful of stallions who have been head sire at the E.A.O. and then sold from the Organisation. When Tuhotmos' sire El Sareei and his dam the legendary producer Moniet El Nefous were paired to preserve the valuable blood of their sire, Shahloul, it was the first time the E.A.O. had tried anything of the like. Tuhotmos remains one of the very few representatives of the non-Nazeer Moniet El Nefous line, and Lanata is also a non-Nazeer Moniet El Nefous bred horse.
Lanata's dam Bint Iziza* quite simply took our breath away, and she and her sire Fol Yasmeen was the reason we considered adding Egyptian Arabians to our stud. She was of course, by the wonderful, smooth Fol Yasmeen and out of the imported mare Iziza who went on to breed some very important stock. When of age, Bint Iziza was sent directly to Tuhotmos. We intended to send her to him again for a full sibling to Lanata, but Tuhotmos passed away before another breeding could be planned. We were overjoyed to have even one of his babies.
Lanata is a feminine version of her sire, a beautifully bred mare that is a fine example of her bloodlines. She has represented her line and her beautiful dam in her produce, impressing us so that we have retained her son El Hamadi as our Egyptian Strain sire and also a daughter.
