In the late 1970's, I got involved in model horse pedigree assignment. I used sires and dams from many of the top model showers, including Black Horse Ranch and Va Lu Rokka. In the early 1980's I had access to the W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Library at Cal Poly, Pomona, and spent many long hours pouring over real horse studbooks and magazines, and researching unusual horse breeds. Fast-forward to 2007 - my model herd had reduced from 1,500 to a more manageable 300 and I spent several months updating the pedigrees. Most of the horses now in the herd are direct descendants of my original models. The sire/dam list is completely on line: www.diddakoi.com/cdm/cdm.htmCurrently there are 32 breeds on the list (see below), with around 165 horses available. Clicking on the name or photo will take you to that horse's individual page showing their full pedigree, larger photo and years available for breeding. Some pedigrees have links to reference breeding stock - if you have an interest in using some of our older reference stock, please let us know. We have tracked which years the horses are available, so you have the ability to fill in older pedigrees with models horses foaled in the 1960s, 70s and 80s. Let us know how we can help! Cheers, Kay Breeds Available: Akhal Teke American Cream Draft ASB Appaloosa Arabian Belgian Chincoteague Pony Clydesdale Criollo Hackney Pony Icelandic Irish Draught Lipizzan Miniature Donkey Miniature Horse Missouri Fox Trotter Morgan Mustang Paint Percheron Peruvian Paso POA Quarter Horse Quarter Pony Shetland Pony Shire Spanish (PRE/Andalusian) Standardbred TWH TB Warmblood Welsh Pony

UPDATE - I just added a dozen new horses to the list, along with two new breeds (Miniature Donkey and Miniature Horse). I'm also working on adding links for my older breeding stock - that will be a work in progress. ;D
Cheers, Kay

YOur Chincoteague is a great grand son of my stock. Phantom Cloud and Freedom are mine. At some point I plan on using some of your stock...just have to figure out who..... I work slow, one horse at a time pretty much.

Just finished a website make-over - should be easier to update and add new horses. The extended pedigree pages for each horse are still available, of course. www.diddakoi.com/cdm/cdm.htmCheers, Kay

Most model clubs don't care about the age of a model since many showers don't assign ages, so I think it would be fine. Cheers, Kay

Kay, you wouldn't happen to have any good Appaloosa stallions, would you? I've looked all over and can't find a sire (at least not one that impresses me) for my appy foal. His dam is one of my stock, but he's still without a father

His dam is one of my stock, but he's still without a father I only have one active Appy stallion (Dreamreader) - here is a link to his page: www.diddakoi.com/cdm/dreamreader.htmI have over 20 reference sires - it would depend on which year you were looking for. I like Kathy Dodson's Me-Dow Stables for stock breeding - here is her website: medowstables.weebly.com/Cheers, Kay

Just wanted to double check that you received the request - I sent it off a few days ago. Have you gotten it yet?
