Very nice! I just started getting my dogs up on my website (the second tab - Animals) and joined the Model Dog IKC. I joined the forum linked on your site too. I am just now trying to get a little side collection of Dogs.
I have been doing lots of Dog pedigree research. I have not been able to find any info from other dog hobbiest about PA. When people request the use of your dogs how does that work, since it is a little different from horses, they have more than one baby at a time. Do you allow multiple babies a year from different sire/dams or work out a deal where there are 4 or 5 slots available with the same pedigree? Just Curious.

I haven't had any requests from my dogs, but I have up to 6 maximum slots open per litter (dice roll to determine amount). They would all have the same pedigree.
I think I would only do one litter a year, since my dogs are also working/show dogs and not just breeders.

I do 2 litters a year, to make it easy I say January and August, with a max of 6 (smaller dogs are going to have less pups at a time). Once a slot is chosen, the sire would be the same for all the pups of that slot. I do the same for my cats. You can see my breeding scedule for my dogs here: www.gubberapark.webs.com/kennels.htmHope I made sense!

Lordy, Tina your website is stunning. We should have a website Hall of Fame, lol! Stony, I hadn't really given too much thought to litters for some reason--too used to horses, I guess. I really like Courtney's idea of rolling the dice--gives kind of a natural luck-of-the-draw to the process. Since I just got this up, I haven't even "bred" any of my own dogs yet---so many things still in the process My biggest hurdle to overcome is pedigrees, because I have never really made them. I've tried to use sit/stay but each one I have attempted to email myself has vanished into thin air. Usually I just email the information to the person requesting it and let them use whatever form they would like--but I am sure that's boring lol. What do you guys use?

I use this pedigree generator...it saves it into html format, and then I just paste it into my website www.pedigreequery.com/generator/Don't know how I would email it, though. For emails, I usually just type it out into excel and send it that way.

I was wondering if that is how it would work for the litters, I think I adopt the dice/ one pedigree per litter policy.
When I was mailing pedigrees I printed the background of the pedigree first, then ran the sheet back through the printer and printed the names out of excell.
Now I save them in excell, but have made a photoshop document that I paste the names into the specific lines, and print it to a pdf. Someone on here, I can't remember who - sorry, recommended a program called kintracks for keeping track of the models and their records. I downloaded the free verison and liked it, but haven't had time to transfer info into it. I think it can produce pedigree print outs for you, but I am not sure. The downside is that for the free edition you can only load.. I think 15 names/animals, but to purchase the software it is not very expensive.
