I recently got two Jumping P. Stones. They're in excellent condition so I plan to live show them next month. However, they came with theses bulky brick-like jumps that were painted over but are chipped and peeling in spots.
My question is, would it be better to show them without the jumps?
This show allows you to lay your models down if they don't stand well so I wondered if this would be a similiar situation.

I would say to show them laying down - as a badly made prop like that could ruin the entry even if the horse is wonderful.
Good luck!

I agree with Serena - laying them down is far better than showing them with a peeling/cracked wall as it will take away from the horse itself. And unfortunatly, if I judge a horse, I judge the 'prop' as well if they have a wall/base holding them upright.
