Do you live anywhere near northwest Indiana? ;D If so, I've started a new group at.... groups.yahoo.com/group/nwi_shows I will be trying to schedule and promote a local live show group in NW Indiana. Not every event needs to be a NAN qualifier - though it seems like most are these days, and smaller live shows are a great chance to meet fellow hobbyists, sell horses, and help bring in newcomers. I would eventually like to see the group host bi-monthly local shows (with Year End Awards), and one larger NAN qualifier every year. I know it may take a bit, but it's a goal to work for! Our first show will probably be late fall - but I havn't nailed down a date yet. I'd like to see who may be interested and get some input from other area folks first. So please stop by and join! Everyone is welcome, even if you don't live in Indiana. :-)

Just a bump - :-) We're up to 11 confirmed entrants now! Yea!
For those not near Indiana - we do allow proxy showing! Either by your chosen proxy, or we have some show show staff committed to handle proxy entries (at no extra fee - besides return shipping and show entry fee).
H :-)

Yay! I can't wait! I'm not sure when I'll get my entry form sent in. I guess whenever I find somebody who can tell me how to send a money order. I also need to talk to you about possibly getting in on the group rate at the hotel. What is the latest you would advise to make thoses arrangements?

Money Orders are easy - you can get one at the Post Office or Wal-Mart and just mail it out. ;D
I'll send you a PM about the hotel info. :-)

Woohoo - I survived hosting the NWI Autumn Classic today and it went very well. I've got to wrap up all my paperwork but hopefully I can start catching up on my own stuff - at least until next year!
And congrats to Christina of Snake Creek on your first live show! She made out like a bandit in the OF Other Make division!

Lol, well yeah! There were, what? About 4-6 other horses total? Winning by default in the otherwise empty classes isn't as fun.

Congratulations, both of you!! It's been so long since I went to a live show - wish there were some closer. Cheers, Kay

Actually I was adding classes today - there were 19 horses in the division, so your Overall CH (or was it reserve, I don't have my lists handy) was out of fair competition. Still, the division will likely get cut next year as there wasn't much interest. It'll make room for me to add more classes to the other divisions. And boy were some of those tough competition!
